Hearing aid technology levels explained
A technology level is how much help a hearing aid gives with speech in noisy places. The hearing aid looks the same at every level, and the same level costs the same whichever brand you choose.

The five levels at a glance
Oticon, Phonak and ReSound at the same level are the same price. The higher the level, the better the sound in busy places.
Prices include fitting at home and aftercare. The £60 home visit, which covers your hearing test, earwax removal if needed and a hearing aid demo, is charged separately.
What changes between levels
Every level of the same hearing aid has the same design, colours, charging and streaming. What changes is how much the hearing aid does for you in noise.

How your level is chosen
Your audiologist recommends a level after your hearing test, based on your results, the places you find hardest to hear in, and what you find easy to handle. You can hear the difference at your demo before you decide.
